I am an enthusiastic young teacher who takes great pride in watching my students achieve their musical goals. My teaching style is is a combination of an active and exciting engagement with the student but with a no-pressure relaxed environment that the student can be comfortable in. I fully invest myself into each of my students and keep track of their progress diligently to be sure to cater to their needs. Overall, I have fun playing music and I want you to experience the same thing. Learning a new skill can be tedious and tough at times but if you can find a way to make it musical and fun then you will have something that you can treasure for the rest of your life whether you want to do it for fun or become a professional. I use this guided discovery as a tool for discussing technique and musical ideas. Once enough fundamentals are grasped, I introduce repertoire which will lead to a recital performance. I always keep in mind the specific interests of the student and work towards meeting their individual goals. Read More

i start beginning guitarists out with Hal Leonard Guitar Method Book One, because even if a player is not destined to rely on traditional notation, they still need to know the names of the notes, so they can communicate with others. I approach ukulele somewhat less formally, because chords can be played right off the bat--singing is encouraged. For bass students, ensemble is stressed from the get-go--bass is inherently a goup affair. Read More
