In that program, I taught private bass lessons as well as theory classes consisting of 30 students each. Privately, I have taught students ranging from 10 to 75 years old. The best teaching/learning situation is the individual lesson where the focus is on one person. All my lessons are with one individual. My first teaching experience, though not musical, was as a martial arts instructor at the Cuong Nhu dojo I attended from age 7 to 18. I was a teachers assistant by age 12 and would lead childrens and adult classes up to twice a week by age 14.
