I am originally from upstate New York and earned both my BM and MME at SUNY Fredonia. I have been teaching private and small group lessons for over twenty years. I also have extensive experience teaching ensemble music in public and private schools in Buffalo (NY), Houston, Madrid, Spain and Chicago. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements and incorporate Position Pieces for Cello by Rick Mooney as they progress to higher levels of difficulty. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. I now own my own vocal company where I promote vocal health and proper voice techniques for singing, stage presence, and performing.
