I am a drummer and percussion teacher who loves what he does. It is important for people to know that I believe students can learn in a variety of ways: From a book, by ear and by gaining experience as a performer in various venues. I love to teach all ages of students. I graduated in 1997 with an associates degree that focused on music theory and music history. As a member of an indie rock band, I understand the importance of being able to play songs on your instrument as quickly as possible! With this in mind, my lesson plan focuses primarily on breaking down songs that we want to learn how to play into their fundamental parts; the chords, the grooves, the fills, what-have-you, until we can put it all together.
