I think my folks realized I was serious, so they bought a little Woolworth's "kiddie" kit and set up drum lessons when I was about 7 and learned to read and write jazz and rock music with my instructor until I was 16. I first taught about 45 years ago when I was a teenager. Since then I have been helping people learn more about playing music on both a casual and professional basis. I strive to discover where the student is and what they want to accomplish.
