I have taught flute for 4 years to people of all ages -I have taught children, high school students, pre-college division music majors, college students and adult amateurs - students who have played in school and community orchestras, churches and for their own personal enjoyment. I began teaching part time when I was in college. After moving to Dallas, I continued to teach part time while attending graduate school. Upon graduation, I began teaching full time during the day at public schools and evenings in my own studio. Encouraging reguler practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for my students. This tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the flute. I have been teaching since age 15 (1999). In addition to extensive performing experience on clarinet, I have functioned as a piano accompanist, choir member, and praise band member through the years. As noted above, I teach clarinet, saxophone, flute, and piano. For beginners, I typically start with fundamentals and technique combined with the, Essential Elements 2000. Once the student gets in track, I start introducing more advanced book such Rubank, J.H Luft, H.Klose and Feerling. For adults and more advanced students, most likely I develop a custom guide and protocol based on what their focus of interest is. Im Bailee! Im a dedicated and passionate flute player. I am currently a junior at the University of Texas at Arlington majoring in Flute Performance! I was in marching band from 2015-2022 at both my high school and my university. Throughout high school, I regularly did All-Region auditions, State Solo and Ensemble, joined flute choirs, and attended summer camps for my instrument. As for university, I have won scholarships for the Texas Flute Society, have participated and performed at the Texas Flute Society festival, and I am currently playing in the UTA Symphony Orchestra.
