Music has been my life for so long and it is my passion! I started reading sheet music when I was 4. I started to learn Piano when I was 5. At age 7 I started learning basic Music Theory. At age 10, I began my journey with Flute and I have been playing ever since! I have played with the Arlington Community Orchestra, Flower Mound Philharmonic Orchestra, Flower Mound Flute Choir, TWU Wind Symphony, TWU Flute Choir, TWU Jazz band, TWU Pep band, and recently became a sub for the Mesquite Symphony.  Read More

I am a music educator, performer, and recording artist with more than 40 years of experience. I studied classical music at The Peabody Consevatory of Music and Jazz at Berklee College of Music. I have studied with and taken private lessons from many great musicians. I have performed with and opened for numerous national acts such as James Brown, Patti Labelle, Chaka Khan, Chick Corea, The Rippingtons, and many more. Additionally, I like to work with scales and long tones in a more advanced way, expanding the range of the instrument and tone quality as we prepare repertoire. With students interested in jazz, either as their primary course of study or in addition to classical music, we focus even more on scales and arpeggios, aiming to master first the most commonly used keys and then expanding to 12 key mastery. I like to begin with a play-along book like Jamey Aebersold's "Maiden Voyage", stressing the beginnings of improvisation, then moving on to more advanced tunes and chord progressions. Read More
