I am a flute/piccolo player in the DC area with experience teaching private lessons, group lessons and coaching small ensembles as well as extensive performance experience with various orchestras and chamber groups. I have spent summers at various music festivals, from the Monteux School in Maine to the American Institute of Musical Studies in Austria. I graduated from James Madison University where I studied with Carol Kniebusch Noe, played four years in the JMU Flute Choir and in the JMU Wind Symphony. My methods vary between each student. For beginning students, that are not learning in a school setting, I typlically start with Hal Lenard's Essential Elements For Band. Once the student had progressed, I will start to introduce solo repetoire that the student will be instested in, which could be pop tunes or other type of music. This will encourage the student's passion for music to grow. If the student is in a school setting, then the student will work on all of the music for school and solo repetoire. Read More

I first taught part-time Flute and Solfeggio classes at music schools while I was in collage. After I finished my Bachelor's in flute performance, I taught full-time at Lorec Antoni music school. During that time I was the principal flautist at the City Symphonic Orchestra - Modus, were I performed all around the region. I played as a member as well as a soloist.
