However, it is my goal to give students the tools to learn music on their own such as sight reading skills, daily practice tools, and practice strategies so they are trained to hear if something is wrong and know how to fix it when I am not present. For beginning students I teach out of whatever book they are using in their school program and if none then I provide my own material, so there is no cost for parents unless the student wants to learn music outside of band, which they purchase on their own.
