Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. I approach teaching with starting with a solid foundation for beginners. Starting each lesson with some warm-up exercises to help develop the dexterity and coordination playing the guitar demands. Then we start learning chord structure and scales, starting with the major and minors.
