My teaching experience began as a Teaching Assistant at Florida State University where I taught undergraduate guitar students. After graduating from Florida State University, I moved back to Massachusetts and taught guitar both privately and through local music schools in my area. I teach all styles of guitar, including electric, acoustic, and I specialize in Classical Guitar, and all ages. Using the Suzuki Method, I have taught many children as young as age 3. Read More

The method I use for teaching is directly related to what the student desire to learn and improve in. That being said, for children and beginners, I will focused mainly on the basics such as: proper posture, proper guitar technique, basic chords, basic rhythms, warm-ups ... Once all of that is covered, my method will vary depending on the student's goals and the style where are in. But no matter what we are covering, I always tailor personal handouts and videos for my student to study once the lesson is over. Read More

My relationship with the guitar is a fusion of technical mastery and deep emotional connection. As a music producer and sound designer, the guitar has been my creative companion, allowing me to explore various genres from classical to Latin music. My approach to playing the guitar is both passionate and precise, reflecting a commitment to the craft that I've honed while performing with Latin Grammy-winners and other esteemed musicians. Whether in the studio or on stage, the guitar is more than an instrument to me; it's a conduit for expressing thoughts, feelings, and stories. Read More

I find that it drives the student to learn the instrument for himself. And as the student wants, more and more, to prove that he can "beat the instrument," he begins to work at it in ways that I can't teach. Learning an instrument is more than showing up for one hour each week. Practice is everything. I feel that my methodology encourages students to take on the instrument head on and learn how to solve problems on their own so that they can practice and improve more quickly. Read More

For beginners, especially younger players, I believe it is best to start with simple pieces to build security. For this I usually try to pick fairly well known melodies that the student likely has in their head already, such as 'Ode to Joy' or 'Jingle-Bells'. By starting with tunes the student already knows, I believe that the learning process becomes much more intuitive. For teens/adults I encourage the student to find out what the students interests/goals are and adjust my lesson accordingly. Read More

I have a deep and passionate love for all things music, whether it's teaching, performing, writing, or listening, and I love being able to share that with my students. I did my undergrad program at UMass Lowell and have achieved my Bachelors degree in Music Studies. I currently still attend the University, where I am striving to get my Masters degree in Music Teaching. Outside of school I enjoy writing and recording my own music, and I occasionally play live shows when I can. Read More

My experience as a professional musician began as a teenager doing session work for bands all around Florida. In recent years I have also founded my own record label, toured with my own projects, and also play with internationally known touring acts. I've found that if you are stoked on what you do, and have a commitment to working hard on your craft, anything is truly possible. My students are encouraged to love what they love, and be stoked on expanding their musical skill set. Read More
