I also joined the school jazz ensemble. I have studied percussion for several years as well, and this has given me a solid foundation in rhythms and reading different rhythms. After college, I sought out respected teachers in my area as well as attended different guitar workshops around the USA so I could continue my music studies. I currently play society-type gigs and teach guitar, bass, and ukulele. I enjoy playing Rock, Blues, Jazz, Classical, and fingerstyle music. Read More

I started playing guitar when I was 7, and music has been a huge part of my life ever since. I've performed countless shows in the New York/New Jersey area as well as many around Europe. I also write my own music, and would be happy to allocate lesson time to songwriting. I took guitar lessons for years at School of Rock Montclair, and I also attended the Berklee School of Music Guitar Sessions Summer Program during the summers of 2015, 2016 and 2017, where I studied mainly blues guitar and music theory. I can teach many instruments that I have taught myself how to play well and efficiently. I play in many bands and I am always learning new styles of music. My best instruments are Piano, Bass, Drums, Ukulele, Guitar, Percussion, Harmonica, Recorder, Tin Whistle, Mandolin and also Trumpet. My secondary instruments are everything else. I can fool around on Violin, Cello, Banjo and Trombone as an amateur. I could blow into a Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet, French Horn and probably anything else I can get my hands on, but I would not feel comfortable teaching them yet because I don't have enough time in the world to learn them and figure out how to play them myself and get as good as I can on those instruments. My first exposure to the guitar came from both my Grandmother and Uncle listening to them play on the Classical guitar and the four string guitar when I was about 12 years old. During High School I discovered some recordings my grandmother had purchased of Chet Atkins playing Classical guitar piece and Larindo Almeida playing a standard Jazz tune. After graduating High School I began learning the guitar on my own. Read More
