The best way to teach is to teach yourself all over again. I love to set realistic goals, while giving them a harder piece to juxtapose their progress. I never pressure them or bog them down with too much. Acknowledging their progress is always a great way to motivate them. My fourteen years as a strings teacher has included both private lessons and public school settings. Many of his students have gone on to be involved in regional orchestras, Houston Youth Symphony, and university orchestras.
