I am a college student who is very passionate to share my knowledge in music. Playing cello since the age of 4, I have competed in all levels of NYSSMA including All-State. I have been the principle cellist of my high school chamber orchestra, nominated for top ten in the country, for a few years. I have also been a principle cellist in the New York Laureate Orchestra as well as a performing soloist. Read More

I have been teaching guitar and music since 1997 while I was midway through my Bachelor's Degree program at William Paterson University. I have consistently taught all ages from 7 up through 70, as well as all abilities from absolute beginners and hobbyists, to advanced and even professional musicians and TV/Film actors. I first began teaching private lessons in the New Jersey and New York City metropolitan area at both my personal recording studio and other establishments for 11 years, and then since 2008, I have been teaching in Los Angeles at both my personal recording studio and other establishments as well. For every student, I first find out their personal interests in music as well as outside the music to develop a personal agenda for them. This personal agenda consists of different basic training, exercises, and repertoire that are designed to make them a better overall musician all the while becoming more skilled at the type of genre they wish to learn. On top of that, we spend a small portion of our lesson just listening and analyzing music. Read More
Instruments: Voice
My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time at various studios and have been consistently teaching students in my home studio for the past 6 years. I like to emphasize a consistent schedule of practice, so that this helps the student progress in their studies. I have also found that by combining styles of classical and modern music can help the student gain a better understanding of their instrument. Read More

For young students, I would usually start them off using Bastien Piano Basics. It's very digestible, and gives a good starting-off point for both technical playing, and larger musical concepts as a whole. With a student who is older or perhaps more advanced, who has a solid grasp on technical proficiency and music theory, I would typically recommend studying specific pieces, starting with Classical, and eventually moving into Jazz. I feel that following a chronological study of music is one of the best ways to become a well-rounded, versatile player who feels comfortable approaching any material. Read More
Instruments: Cello
For beginning students who are children, for the first lesson i usually ask them to play whatever they have in hand then base on the standard to assign basic practice from the Suzuki cello books. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. Read More
