I attended Walt Whitman High School and was a member of its award winning Jazz Ensemble as a Tenor Saxophonist. Understanding and being able to interpret the history of a piece is just as important and learning it, how are you to convince an audience without knowing it for yourself? I have been playing saxophone since elementary school and even focused my college studies around it, graduating with honors from Florida AM University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Jazz Studies and Commercial Music. Lesson plans are developed based on the students abilities, progress, and expressed goals.
