It wasn't until I was 12 years old that I really started to play and learn guitar, being further motivated by my brother who was just learning guitar himself. We started out learning songs by Metallica and Led Zeppelin. Later, I took a deep interest in learning blues, classical, jazz, and more classic rock like Chuck Berry, Jimi Hendrix, Santana etc. After years of studying and practice, I believe I have a firm grasp of music theory, how to play different styles of music, and the ins and outs of guitar playing. I do not have formal homework for students under 8. For students 10 years old and older I have a strict policy of teaching Music Theory including basic scales, rhythms, notation and triads. Drum tabs and beat charts are also covered; but my goal is create a well rounded musician which many drummers are not. Like adult and teenage students; the goal is teach the child to teach themselves- as repetition and commitment are key to gaining full competency with the drumset. Read More

Every student is unique. I try to unerstand their individual interests and abilities before I design the teching style that would be most productive and enjoyable. Providing a solid foundation and understanding of musical principles is what I strive to achieve with my students. I prefer to be an inspiring and enthusiastic coach. The student should not feel pressured or constricted. I try to create an environment in which students can feel comfortable to relax and develop their own creativity while learning. Read More

In addition to working with standard repertoire and method books, I devise my own exercises to help with breath control, tone production, rhythm, aural skills, and other topics. I dedicate particular time and attention to the areas where I believe each individual student can benefit the most (e.g., tone quality, counting, etc.). For young students, I like to incorporate music games and improvisation into my teaching, both of which help the student develop essential musical skills in a fun, relaxed way. Read More

Nothing is more rewarding then seeing my student progress and overcome the difficulties of starting to play an instrument. Furthermore, it is very important that each one of my students progresses at their own pace. That being said, I encourage progression by setting realistic goals depending on the student's level. In addition, I create the students curriculum based on the styles of music students prefer as to keep their interest while giving them useful knowledge and techniques for any situation involving playing, improvising, or musical comprehension. Instruments: Voice
I'm fairly new to teaching. I had the opportunity to co-lead the soprano section in my university choir for a year, which gave me my first taste of what teaching other people was like. I loved it, because it allowed me to step into something bigger than myself: helping other people learn how to sing together well! After graduating from William Jessup University I began to intern at my church, where I started teaching group lessons. Read More

They were very diligent and had very good manners. It was a wonderful experience of learning a lot of things not only positive aspects but also heartbreaking ones too. It definitely changed my way of viewing the world. Then I went to London, U.K. to learn more English language, in addition, I developed the office skills such as typing, operating electronic devices and how to write business letters so on. Read More
