My teaching is style is unique to say the least. I am about grabbing the student from where they are and preparing them to be successful and ready for the next level. With me failure is not an option. We will set realistic goals and tackle them as we work to our ultimate goal. As the student progresses they will be acknowledged and we will keep striving for excellence. What is excellence you may ask, excellence is defined as the product of hardwork and extra effort that makes the difference between an acceptable job and an exceptional job. Read More

My teaching experience started about ten years ago in Brazil, and after that I have been consistently teaching private piano and, since 2013, group piano. Teaching has always been a great experience to me and I can certainly fell that those years of teaching made me a better person. Besides seeing my students having great accomplishments in playing the piano, sometihing that also makes me happy is having a old student revisiting my lessons and realizing how better both us have become over the years. One of the most important aspects of teaching, is certainly to help my students develop a passion for music in general and in the piano in particular. Therefore, it's vital that my students progress at their own pace. Setting realistic goals for them, giving them the means to reach these goals, challenging them reasonnably, and acknowledging their accomplishments are the main ingredients of a wonderful, fulfilling, and enjoyable musical journey. For beginning students, I like to start with a combination of the Suzuki method and Essential Elements. As the student progresses, I will introduce solo repertoire according to their level. For adults, I will start with basic musical training and then we will move on to a repertoire that the student is interested in learning. Just like in music, behind every successful performance, there is a process of constant discipline, revision, and change, in life is not so different, behind every successful step there is a process of discipline, adaptation, and change. Instruments: Voice
I have been teaching students privately for three years. I took on my first student during my junior year of college, and during those lessons I discovered my love of teaching. I was trained in Vocal Pedagogy by Jean Del Santo, a renowned pedagogue and professor at the University of Minnesota. As a teacher, I have helped students prepare for auditions, recitals, and major performances. I have also worked with students who are simply excited to learn more about the voice. Read More

I LOVE teaching music to students! I have been involved with music throughout my life but began formally learning music at the age of eight starting with piano and voice lessons. When I turned eleven I added percussion to the mix and found a whole new world of fun! I majored in music at Centenary College for two years before changing my major and graduated with a minor in music. Read More
