For adults I find out what they're interested in and instruct accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and always fun no matter what. I base my teaching method on my strong, enthusiastic, optimistic, patient, and loving character. I train all 4 of the singing groups at the church including the youth choir and church band. Music Director/Production Manager Prodigal Son Productions I am the Music Director and Production Manager for this hit Comedy stage play called I NEED A MAN written by the legendary playwright MIKE MATTHEWS. The play is currently having a run in Detroit and I will be producing it here in the ATL 2016. There are two selected teaching methods that I confer with in order to select the most appropriate method for my students. For my beginning students, I select Schaum (Books 1-3) for piano lessons, and Benners Book One for theory lessons. The Schaum methods offers bright and color-coded books, which reflects that various learning levels. My teaching studio is equipped with two drums sets and practice pads to accommodate marching or drum set students.   I also have a full PA and two keyboards set up for piano students and accompanying purposes.  Each student is given an assignment for the week (or specified time) and will then pass off this lesson assignment (barrier) before receiving a new lesson.  Passing off not only includes demonstration of the lesson but also performing with me as I accompany them on the keyboards. I started teaching guitar lessons privately when I was 16 years old and, since I tested out of my first year of Music College in Argentina, I was able to receive my first music degree at age 19. Shortly thereafter, I started teaching elementary school music and symphonic band at a private school until I was offered a scholarship to be an exchange student in the U.S., and then offered two scholarships (Tiger Scholar and LMA) to transfer to LSU (Geaux Tigers!) to finish my studies there.
