I enjoy teaching music to all ages of kids and have different courses to recommend based on maturity and musical background of the child. In general I recommend Faber's Piano Adventures. In general, the courses focus on keyboard performance, listening and pitch matching. Note recognition, rhythm and sight reading are also taught. For voice lessons, I tailor my supplemental book teaching to the students individual learning abilities, as well as learning songs they are passionate about. My philosophy on learning music is that a students should NEVER play a song that they hate! I tailor my instruction accordingly to keep lessons engaging and fun, no matter what their skill level. I am originally from Guanajuato, Mexico and in my last year of high school, I decided to take private piano lessons with a local teacher and it was during this time period that I learned classical pieces by Beethoven and Mozart.
