Instruments: Piano Voice
I have been playing the piano almost all my life. The passion I have for music of all kinds is contagious. My parents were opera singers, I grew up in a Latin American setting, and I performed with a symphony orchestra at the age of 13. I have taught piano to students of all levels and ages. I love to share with my students the marvels that are found in music, from the composers to their individual styles, to enjoying improvisation and multi-piano/hands arrangements. Read More

I am a graduate of the Edna Manley College of the Performing Arts where I studied Music Education. I also have a diploma in Piano Performance and Teaching from the Royal College of Music. I have been an instrumental instructor for the past 25 years, and enjoy sharing the joys of music with learners. I believe that learning to play an instrument should be an enjoyable experience. I acknowledge that all students are different and learn at different paces, so my teaching is tailored to accommodate each student's strengths, weaknesses, likes and preferences. Read More

My general philosophy in music teaching is to ensure that the student, regardless of background and ability, learns something from music aside from performance skills. Nothing excites me more than to see that a student feels happy from learning something new or overcoming a challenge. However, I also aim to build a positive relationship with students by seeking new ways to keep the lessons fun and to ensure that they are satisfied with the music they are learning, etc. Read More
Instruments: Piano Violin Cello Viola
For beginning cello students of all ages, I normally use one of my teacher's method books: Cellocity by Helga Winold of Indiana University. As my cello students progress, I slowly introduce smaller pieces that can normally be found in Suzuki method books. After my cello students have advanced significantly, I begin to introduce more complex pieces that are found in the standard cello repertoire. Eventually, my students reach a level where they gain the ability to gauge their experience level and select their own pieces with my approval. Read More

I believe a student needs to have a good strong Foundation starting at something is Middle C and breaking themselves of that by branching out with both hands and playing on opposite sides just to show the full capabilities of the pianoforte and they're great and full potential compositional characteristics. My understanding of musical Theory can help you get a grip on the pianoforte for it is Thoroughly extensive and self studied as well as public school-educated and private universities too. Read More
Instruments: Piano Voice
I was a member of the University of Sonora choir for more than 4 years, always leading the tenor chords, helping them to achieve musicality and hearing all kinds of voices. I helped them with the piano to sing different voice melodies in different languages. When I graduated, I started to take private students, helping them with breathing and music lines. My last two students in Mexico were really greatful with me for the vocal range growth in less than 6 months. Read More

Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music. It's important that each of my students progress at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. By trying to find out what inspires the student, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs. Read More
