As a singer I have performed with the Fort Worth Opera, in San Francisco, Germany, Austria and our Nation's Capital. My students have won UIL state and local competitions, piano competitions and many college scholarships. I recently finished my studies to receive my Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy degree from Sam Houston State University. At SHSU I gained experience working with a variety of clientele including those diagnosed with autism, dementia, traumatic brain injury (TBI), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and spina bifida. I also provided live percussion music with the Creative Movement Program with the dance department at Sam Houston State University. I have sung with the Houston Symphony Chorus, Dallas Symphony Chorus, Mesquite Community Chorus, ASU Graduate and Doctoral chorales, and many worship teams, I have been in many musicals and was the lead in "Pirates of Penzance" and "The Consul". I have been teaching for more than 40 years. I began teaching private lesson in my home town, Baltimore, Maryland. I teach alto, saprano, and tenor saxophone, flute , piccolo, EWI, and piano. In high school I had the great privilege of being selected as the Principal clarinetist in the Minnesota All-State Band. We performed at the summer camp designed for these groups and recreated our performance at Orchestra Hall, home of the Minnesota Orchestra, the following spring. Clarinet is my primary instrument and first love. I also teach saxophone and beginning flute and hope to add other woodwinds in the future.
