I have been teaching for 10 years now and have a wealth of knowledge and experience to share with anyone interested in learning music. I graduated in 2011 with a BA in music education from Brooklyn College, and recently graduated with a MA in Jazz Performance in 2020 from New Jersey City University. Every lesson is a small step out of the comfort zone - it may or may not be noticed, but the step is take none-the-less. Additionally, I'll incorporate popular musical melodies in EZ plays and have my students begin learning chords so they can begin lead sheet reading some of their favorite tunes. The best thing I can do as a teacher is help you realize the path of least resistance for achieving your goals. So, I have developed a style called the Dotted Line Approach. On the first day of lessons, we will discuss both short term and long term goals. Following this, we will develop a roadmap with smaller goals for each week, month, 3 months, and year.
