I'm a trombonist in my last semester of my Master's degree in performance and chamber music at the University of Michigan, and am so excited to share my knowledge with students of any age. I believe that music should evoke strong feelings in both the performer as well as the audience members, so my teaching approach aims to foster musicality and the love of music in all forms. I began teaching music in high school, a friend coworker had a son that wanted to learn trumpet and it was a fun way to make money. As I continued into college, I learned that I was able to give lessons to members of the band or choir as an employee to the Adrian College Academic Services Department and I was happy to do so. As a student performer I have made appearances at the International Trombone Festival, International Womens Brass Conference, Bands of America, Kentucky Music Educators Association, 3 NCAA tournaments, and the Elmhurst Jazz Festival.
