I began playing cello in elementary school and started teaching cello lessons while I was in middle school. I love to teach and share music with my students. As a soloist, I was a prizewinner of the Nova Vista Young Artist Concerto Competition and winner and soloist with the KAMSA Youth Orchestra and Texas Christian University Symphony Orchestra. I have appeared in recitals throughout Berlin, Germany and in master classes with Dorothy DeLay, Donald Weilerstein, Brian Lewis, Ruggiero Ricci, and the Tokyo String Quartet. I want the students to understand how their instrument works by demystifying the mechanics. For most of my students, I use Artistry in Strings, I Can Read Music, Introducing the Positions, Wolfhart, and more in addition to Suzuki.
