I am a 19 year-old student of Baptist College of Ministry in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. Having grown up the second oldest of five siblings, I understand how to relate to other people and work with them even in difficult situations. As a Christian, I believe in good character principles and righteous living. I ultimately desire the best for others rather than myself. With a life of teaching ahead of me, I am constantly seeking better ways of instructing students, relating with their issues, and helping them find the best way to success. Read More

I believe the best teaching method is one that focuses on the accomplishments of each student. I have several different rewards systems that I will use to motivate students to practice at home. Part of this system is encouraging my students to set their own realistic goals and walking them through how to reach them. Additionally, I am a big believer in affirmation and will do my best to encourage each student throughout the lesson. Read More

I use Suziki Violin Method, Bastian for piano. I have also been developing my own method, and it's dependant in the students agenda. I encourage the building of reperatore early on. I have also used Liytle Einstein piano method and varies products produced by Hal Leonard. I find the students goals are very formative to the approach I choose to take. Sole students are doing the study for sheer personal enjoyment others are more serious and want to make a career out kf mus8c as they mature. Read More

For students who are children, I have a vareity of teaching style opportunities including the Suzuki Method, Essential Elements, Janice Rhoda's Complete Techniques, and other teaching methods. All of my students recieve education in music theory, rhythm, aural skills (voice/ear lessons), performance techniques, sight reading, and of course intrument technique. Children are very different from each other, and all of them learn in very different ways. My personal teaching style is whatever helps the student learn best. Read More

For beginners, especially children of 3, 4 and 5 years old, we do everything through play, rhythm, drawing, listening to music and correct placement of both hands on the violin and bow through various exercises. After age of 6, they are start introduce to music theory, notes, the basics of rhythm in my various ways. We learn about the violin , the settings, the way of playing, etc. My method is classical music through which you learn all the rules of music and the proper way to play the instrument. Read More

I began teaching private lessons during my time at Converse College, over 10 years ago. I taught at the Lawson Academy of the Arts in Spartanburg, SC from 2014-2016, and privately out of my home for the past 7 years. I have also led numerous college and high school level violin sectional rehearsals, including violin sectionals for the Senior High School Orchestra at UNCG Summer Music Camp in 2019, where I was a counselor and rehearsal assistant, the UNCG Symphony Orchestra, and the Converse Symphony Orchestra, and working as a regular sectional coach with the Triangle Youth Symphony. Numerous violin teachers make one of two mistakes. Many give their students too little information, leaving the student to figure out the finer technical details on their own, while others feed the student too much information without breaking it down for them. In both cases the student progresses at a slower pace and is likely to become frustrated. My approach is much more step-by-step oriented, allowing the student to fully grasp a concept over the course of one lesson as opposed to several lessons, which results in significantly greater progress over time. Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
