I know that learning to play an instrument carries a unique set of challenges for each person, and these can be frustrating. I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Music Education from Wartburg College in 2004.  I then moved to Wisconsin where I was a middle school and high school choir director for seven years.  There I taught chorus, private and group voice lessons, piano class, general music class, and also organized the middle school talent show.  I later moved on to Hawaii where I taught private voice and piano lessons through Musikgarten Hawaii. I studied classical music for eight years. I discovered world classical music in high school, fell in love with it, and continued my studies in the art along with exploring worship leadership. I always enjoyed RB and pop growing up, so adding classical was a great bonus to my repertoire. I started teaching modern music along with classical training methods to get the best of both worlds. This helps strengthen singers, and music expresses emotion and can be very therapeutic, which is exciting and transformative. Read More
