The focus of my studio is as follows: breath support vocal health and safety tonation style For beginning students who are children, I start with basic songs that can build upon the fundamentals listed above. I begin to introduce solo repertore when appropriate but I do not rush this process. As a music teacher, I am passionate about giving people of all ages the tools for self-expression and collaboration. I am a performer, flautist and singer-songwriter based in Philadelphia and I have been an active member of the music community for over a decade. If a student isn't having fun learning the instrument then I am doing something wrong! Learning should be fun and a joy not a chore. I try to encourage the students to practice without being told to do so. With that comes a joy of doing it on your own and for themselves not for anyone else.
