With the KU curriculum, I have had to learn how to work with children from Pre-K to 12th grade, which means any age is something I've been prepared for. Also, I got to sing with the Intergenerational choir at KU, which would happen at the local community center with senior-aged people. I am a native of Russia. In 2001 I moved to the United States. In 2005 I became a US citizen. I studied music for seven years to earn my Bachelor of Arts degree in vocals and piano. I studied six more years in conservatory to obtain my Masters degrees in music performance and education. I love to teach and to see my students progress in their musical studies. Through ear training, creativity, and learning "how" music works, the goal is to get each student to not need a teacher to learn their instrument, but want a teacher so they may become their best version of it.
