I have been teaching for almost 10 years, in Philadelphia schools such as Olney High School, Nueva Esperanza, AMLA Latin School for The Performing Arts, Taller Puertorriqueo, and Philly Music Lessons. I have been consistently teaching students in my home studio within the last 6 years. As music composition and music production are rapidly changing with the rise of technology, I also teach music composition with technology in mind. My approach to singing comes from yoga. I begin every single lesson with about 2-5 minutes of breathing exercises that stem from yoga practices. As humans, the first thing that we do before we make any kind of a sound is breathe. I believe that understanding your own breathing mechanism will give you your most honest, authentic, healthy, and full sound. Every one of my students will be able to explain, what I call, "the pillars of breathing" and how it relates to vocal technique. Read More

Anda Szilagyi is a singer and multi instrumentalist composer who hails from Harlem, NYC. Born to 2 classical concert pianists, she began playing piano from a very young age, followed by classical guitar. In high school she took up jazz trumpet, which she continued to study at the New School, earning her degree in Jazz Performance and Composition.
