I have built a private studio on the foundations of traditional bel canto technique with a strong emphasis on the Italian School. I believe in consistent practice with scales, arpeggios and other exercises that help students build and strengthen their voices and navigate their registers. I like to pack my lessons with information and fun. Typically my lessons are half warm-up, half working through music. In the first half, we address technique, breath, posture, placement, tongue and larynx position, etc. Because a strong foundation is the basis of good healthy singing in any style. As a teacher, I have worked on vocal technique and coached audition material with many fellow actors. I have also worked with high-schoolers on material from musicals. I am a very patient, fun and challenging teacher for all skill levels.  I have small recording studio in my home that I use to make demos for my students, or record lessons and backing tracks.
