I was named a 2021 National YoungArts Foundation Finalist in Popular Voice and received the Merit Winner award for songwriting in the 2020 YoungArts Competition. I was selected into Grammy Camp 2020 and 2021 for Vocal Performance, NYU Contemporary Voice Workshop in 2020, and the NYU Songwriting Intensive in 2020. I won 1st in the 2019 NATS NJ Doris Lenz competition, 1st in the 2020 NATS NY, and 2nd in the 2021 NATS Eastern Competition. I was also recognized as a semi-finalist for the 2020 Hal Leonard vocal competition in the musical theater category and received the best soloist award for Blues/Pop/Rock Voice in the Downbeat Magazine 2021 Competition. I started teaching when I was about 15 years old, I lead a dance group and choreographed a 50 min show about african heritage in North and South American cultures. It was a big project and it helped me realize how much I loved teaching. From then on I've taught several subjects from dance, to Spanish and voice lessons. My practice is an evidenced-based one. I chose exercises that are specifically tailored to a certain vocal idea or skill that we are working on. From there, we modify the exercise to meet the needs of the student's unique body and other student specific needs (i.e. previous habits, personality type, etc.).
