I have been teaching private lessons for about 15 years, as well as camps and workshops. I have served as a clinician and instructor at Drumline camps and with Orchestra. I created the Percussive Arts Institute of Ruston to bring music education to an underserved community and taught around 100 students in an after-school program. My spark of inspiration to teach comes from my years performing in college as part of my own band, as well as jazz ensemble and guitar ensemble. I left school to hit the road with my first professional band. I spent the next 20+ years writing, recording and touring all over the country.
