I have been playing clarinet for 12 years and very passionate and motivated by music. I love working and sharing my knowledge with students. I have graduated from Florida State University with a Master of Music degree in Clarinet Performance May 2020. I have performed in Mexico, Belgium, and around the United States. Each person is unique which transfers to a different learning technque for each student. I firmly believe in making sure each student learns at his or her own pace. Students will always be encouraged to learn more scales, more octaves, and the full range chromatic scale. All students are encouraged to learn a solo appropriate to their playing level. Older students interested in auditioning for All-Region bands, will work on etudes to prepare for those honor band auditions. I have been playing piano since age 6 and clarinet since age 10. During my time at university I was taught to play all of the woodwinds, focused on pedagogy and music technology, and achieved many awards and recognition. My clarinet/woodwind pedagogy instructor was a student of Himie Voxman, author of many woodwind teaching method books.
