In middle school, I began performing and teaching music during the summers at Vacation Bible School for children ages 3-10. Throughout high school, as a member of a variety of bands, I performed at a wide array of venues around New England. During this time, I ventured into song writing and musical arrangement. We will spend a good amount of time on fundamentals to ensure success with at-home practicing. For middle school students, I use more practical methods and techniques that steer them towards high achievement in their school's music curriculum. Doing these techniques can open the door to any number of advanced percussion areas. However, just because rudimentary techniques are necessary doesn't mean they can't be fun! Zac has received a bachelors degree in music education and a masters degree in music performance from Miami University with a focus in percussion.
