So coming from church everything I played I could break it down into rudiments. I started teaching private lessons to the kids at my church and other churches, and its been about 9 years or so. David began composing and producing commercial music shortly after graduating high school, working for Panoptic Media. My teaching experience started while I was attending high school. I began working at local band camps over the summer during my senior year and I found the experience to be cathartic and extremely rewarding. At the beginning of my college career, I started working with several band programs as an instructor and private lesson teacher. I have been actively teaching students of all ages since 2007. I was a section leader throughout high school and on into my undergraduate degree in percussion. This involved both teaching groups of my peers but also giving individual attention to anyone who needed the extra help.
