I am a percussionist from Ecuador. I have broad and deep training in world and latin percussion, classical and contemporary music performance, and composition. In 2011 I moved to Brasil to complete my undergrad, and in 2015 I graduated from UNESP (Sao Paulo State University) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Percussion Performance. Later in 2017, I moved to Los Angeles to earn a Master of Fine Arts degree in World Percussion from the California Institute of the Arts, where I had the opportunity to study with renowned musicians. I attended renowned music schools in Brazil to improve my skills in drumming, music theory and musicianship. I started giving private drums instructions when I was 20 years old, few years before I decided to come to California in 1989 to attend the Musicians Institute where I graduated with Honnors mention in the Certificate. Parallel from being an active performer in Los Angeles, California I got involved with the teaching aspect of drumming since 1997 which for me is an extremelly rewarding activity, where I can pass on everything I've learned trhough the years about music, drumming and enriching relationships. After I first received my Bachelor's Degree from CSU Fullerton, I opted to showcase my original music through distinct outlets.
