I am a passionate, lifelong, and experienced Indie Rock musician with a flare for hardcore music theory and expertise's ranging from Samba to the Avant-garde. I learned how to play as a teenager. I would play Rush records front to back as well as some of the other more drum driven records and perfect techniques to rise to the occasion. We will start from a variety of exercises from the book Stick Control working the hands and feet. Then a variety of beginner drum set books from Chet Deboe to work the 3 and 4 limb independence . I work from a variety of drum books depending on the student and their goals as a player. At age 13 years old, I started playing the drums, first with private instructions with some of the greatest drummers in New York City such as Gene Krupa, Cozy Cole, and Rufus Bede Jones. I played in High school Band, University of California Jazz ensemble. I toured at many schools. I was on the same teaching staff with Tony Williams, Steve Smith and David Garibaldi.
