I'm originally from New York and moved to the bay area 4 years ago. I have been playing music since I was about 5 or 6. I started early on with guitar lessons and playing trumpet through grade school. I went to see the Gypsy Kings at radio city music hall when I was about 9 or 10 with my parents. At age 13 years old, I started playing the drums, first with private instructions with some of the greatest drummers in New York City such as Gene Krupa, Cozy Cole, and Rufus Bede Jones. I played in High school Band, University of California Jazz ensemble. I toured at many schools. I was on the same teaching staff with Tony Williams, Steve Smith and David Garibaldi.
