I began teaching in 1999 and have maintained a private studio since then while also working for various music schools and after-school music programs. It has also opened my eyes to a variety of ways of thinking about music. I received a Master of Music degree in Percussion Performance from Bowling Green State University in 2012. I've performed recently with the Toledo Symphony Orchestra as a section percussionist, and I frequently play drum set with a band that plays for corporate events, private parties, and concert series. I graduated from the Baldwin Wallace Conservatory in 2018 with a Bachelors degree in Music Therapy. I studied percussion primarily in college, but also studied voice and piano during my time at Baldwin Wallace. During my undergraduate career, I performed with the Baldwin Wallace Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Baldwin Wallace Orchestra, and Baldwin Wallace Percussion Ensemble. I had a class of about 10 or 15 kids and we worked on solfege, theory, and singing. During that time I was also teaching drums in the same school and privately in my house in Normandy, France.
