Prior to making the transition to a full time musician, I was a swim and surf instructor for children and adults! This experience greatly prepared me for teaching music. I learned a lot about patience, communication, and having fun which is what I've been incorporating into my 3 years of teaching drums and percussion. I always try to make my classes fun and engaging. I manage a very particular teaching method based on how I have learned from my mentors. On the first class I ask what the student's interest is and what would make him/her happy to learn, how the student imagines playing and what styles of music are the favorites ones.
