Books I use for teaching Piano is the Piano Adventures series of books by Nancy and Randall Faber, which is a great lesson book and a good basic piano method for beginners through intermediate level students. For guitar I use the Hal Leonard Incredible Chord Finder and the Warren Nunes Jazz guitar Rhythm and Background Chords and the Solo Patterns book. For beginner students, patience will be vital for overcoming the independence element of controlling both hands and feet. For intermediate students, patience will be needed to advance their technique with practicing rudiments.
