I began teaching music when I was 18, I began teaching private drums and piano lessons in my home studio, I've been consistently teaching students in my home studio for the last 7 years. Upon graduation, I got my first music teacher position at Rishon Lezion conservatory, I taught private saxophone, flute, drums, and piano lessons as well as group music theory lessons and directed students ensembles. I have learned through the years what a great impact a teacher as on his students and how important it is to give students a fun, encouraging experience. Read More

As a recent graduate, I consistently taught many students throughout my experience studying higher education. During this time, I was able to teach 60-80 students both privately and within an ensemble setting. Encouraging students to become motivated and inspired in a variety of creative ways is one of my main key points that I love to emphasize for younger students, as it tends helps students to progress and gain a passion for the instruments they're working with. My teaching philosophy is rooted in fostering both technical proficiency and creative expression. To achieve this, I employ a combination of established techniques and personalized approaches: Using the George L. Stone stick control book as a foundational tool, I promote limb independence and improve technical skills. This classic method helps students develop precise control and coordination, essential for any percussionist. Understanding that each student is unique, I create customized exercises that cater to their individual strengths and areas for improvement. Read More

That is my #1 priority. I emphasize improvisation the most for all my students so they are able to express themselves freely on their instrument! From my experience, most of my students, if not all, practice diligently and consistently because they want to! Not because they are forced to, but because they love to. I explore all types of genre from hip-hop, rock, classical, and jazz in order to expand the student's musical palette. Read More

I understand that all students do not learn the same way. So, I am prepared to teach every student through auditory, visual, or written instructions, or a combination of those methods. I believe that it important for a student to learn how to read music, but I also understand that not all students will have this interest. I am a patient, encouraging, and fun teacher! It is very rewarding to me to see my students progress and build their interest in their instrument that will hopefully last a lifetime. Read More

Setting goals is a very important practice for teaching. I am very easy going, kind and understanding. However, I expect there to be effort on the part of the student. I believe praise to be a better motivator than stoicism and I always make sure my students know when they are doing a good job and improving. There is nothing more rewarding than to see a student have a breakthrough on their instrument. Read More

I began teaching guitar part-time about 6 years ago as a side job, on top of my then-main gig as a grocery store clerk. Slowly but surely, however, I added more and more students to my roster and was able to phase out the grocery store job, and today I teach guitar full time! There are three main components I look for in a student: passion, potential, and diligence. If a student has the passion for music, the potential to get better, and the diligence to put in the time and work, the sky is the limit! Read More
