The first lesson is focused on my assessment of a students skills, interests, and learning styles. From there I will determine the most useful resources for each student. I will work with the method book that is being used in a student's school, in addition to method books designed for individual skill development such as the Rubank Method Books or Suzuki Method for string instruments. It all started when I took my first drum lesson in the 4th grade. From then on, I wanted to play whenever I could. I played in all my school bands from middle school to high school. Graduated Southern University, home of the world famous "Human Jukebox" which I was a member of for 3 years, as well as playing for my church since I was 13.
