I am an upbeat energetic teacher who loves music and loves teaching. I have played saxophone since I was 8 years old, and I am now in my late 50's. I play professionally for many local Denver bands including jazz, blues, pop, contemporary, and have my own music business to play events at weddings, parties etc. I have traveled The Noreweign Cruise ships twice on jazz cruises and had the opportunity to play with the famous bassist Rufus Reed and saxophonist Lou Donaldson. I've helped new beginner students start their flute exploration with the correct embouchure, posture, and technique right from the beginning. I've worked with students who have been on their own for a while, helping to correct any bad habits that had snuck in. I've helped students reinforce the technical basics of scales, daily exercises, breathing, and long tones so that their music soars. I've helped students with specific solos and band music so that a future performance is as close to perfect as possible. Read More

Since the age of 11, Anna Kate has held a tremendous passion for classical flute. It was her junior year of high school when she decided to pursue a career in music and started her journey by joining the Greater New Orleans Youth Orchestra, which toured in France, performing at large concerts in various cities. Subsequently she was accepted to the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts High School to further advance her studies in flute, requiring extensive time commitments of practicing five plus hours per day.
