I began teaching flute 10 years ago and successfully ran a private flute studio out of my home, which incldued students of all ages, skill levels and backgrounds. I encourage regular practice, instrument maintenance, and practice journaling for my beginning students, which helps to promote progress and enjoyment of music making. In 2010, I graduated from VanderCook College of Music with a Bachelor's in Music Education. I have played in a variety of instrumental ensembles on different instruments, from euphonium, trombone, marimba and drum-set to name a few.
