I use these as a foundation of technique that can be translated to repertoire. Again depending on the style of music the student wants/needs to practice, I will pull from etudes, solo transcriptions, and popular music to start building the student's repertoire. Music has been a huge part of my life since birth. Both of my grandmothers were musicians, one a pianist, and the other an opera singer. My siblings and I all started learning an instrument at young ages, mine being flute. I later started learning guitar. I hope to influence students in their discovery of music through various modalities of learning, including visual, auditory, proprio-kinesthitic (movement), with a special focus on audiation.
