At our first lesson, we will dive into what YOU want to learn. It's my job as a teacher to facilitate a creative and challenging learning environment, but it's up to you, the student, to make the time we spend together something you would like to work on. I'm confident that we can both find common ground to stand on and find some great music to explore. Beginners will always use some sort of method book, learn to read music and rhythms. Read More

My style is closer to the Russian style than to the American style. This tends to involve more discipline, an emphasis on focus and concentration, and a more direct communicative approach. I don't usually mince words, although I am very supportive and gentle. My students seldom suffer self-confidence problems, because we are always too concerned with improving ourselves. We identify and focus on the task at hand. This is not for everyone, but for those that prefer this style, there is no substitute. Read More

My teaching journey began during my college years, and for the past ten years, I've been sharing my musical expertise by offering private lessons. Over the last five years, I've consistently taught students in my home studio. One of the key principles I prioritize, especially with younger students, is instilling the importance of regular, consistent practice. I firmly believe that this practice routine not only facilitates progress but also ignites a passion for the instrument. Read More

We learn the music you want to learn when you study with me! The very first lesson I ask the student what he or she is inspired by. We then work towards those songs, in a step by step gradual process. Along the way fundamentals about rhythm, the musical alphabet and theory are taught within the context of the song we are learnning. This makes the lessons moreenjoyable and relatableto the student's deisred outcomes. Read More

I'm a passionate, experienced and motivated instructor with a strong desire for sharing knowledge based on my personal experience as a professional musician. In 2010, I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a degree in Contemporary Writing and Production and was able to learn from some of the greats like David Fiuczynski and David Tronzo. After graduating, I moved to Brooklyn, NYC, where I worked professionally for over 7 years, touring with Grammy Award-nominated talent and collaborated in sessions with some of the top producers in the industry. I have taught for over twenty years to all ages and levels. I've taught all genres and also teach special needs including autistic, handicapped, and blind. As well I've also taught a couple grammy winning musicians. I encourage good effective practice methods instead of long tedious hours I prefer the student to concentrate on quality above quantity. Read More
