I have taught for over twenty years to all ages and levels. I teach the fun way by teaching the student what they would like to know by tailoring each lesson to fit there personal goals, needs and questions. I've taught all genres and also teach special needs including autistic, handicapped, and blind. As well I've also taught a couple grammy winning musicians. I encourage good effective practice methods instead of long tedious hours I prefer the student to concentrate on quality above quantity. Read More

I have an interactive yet focused style of teaching. I can(but don't recommend) to use the Suzuki method. I feel that all aspects related to the instruments weigh much importance in teaching the student. However, with the Suzuki method, the student's primary focus is to learn pieces rapidly and climb the level of difficulty as fast as possible. This prevents him/her to fully understand and analyze the piece and lesson and it can also turn the student away from pursuing the instrument further. Read More

I began playing guitar at the age of 15 and have been writing and performing ever since. I was a professional touring musician for 12 years and I had the great privilege to share the stage with Bon Jovi, Kid Rock, Yo Gabba Gabba!, Big Boi, Cage the Elephant, Candlebox, Theory of a Deadman, Marcy Playground, and many others. Music is a major part of my life, and I remember being surrounded by it at an early age. Read More

I try to adapt my teaching style to however I see the student (or peer) is most effective in learning. Some people are more chart based, and like the bars written out in time so they can follow it in a more technical manner. Some have a hard time reading music, so they go off of feel. This is more of an intuitive approach to learning. Both are fine for me, but depending on how the student is, one may be better than the other. Read More
