I taught there for more than ten years, at one of the most prestigious music schools in Argentina. Throughout my career as a music professor, I was frequently tasked with this academic duty of instructing varied and distinct student groups. Additionally, I have performed as a musician and artist on tour in Colombia, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, and Uruguay. Due to my established career as a teacher, I am compelled to organize teaching activities during my concert tours. Read More

Hello. Sean O., here. I have been playing professionally for almost twenty years and am excited to be sharing my skills and knowledge, once again. I attended Kinder High School for Performing and Visual Arts, where I studied Jazz bass and music theory. My musical repertoire ranges from hardcore punk and metal, to pop, soul, reggae and blues. Playing consistently has also taken me across the country on tour and into some incredibly varied live venues. Read More

I believe the lessons should be informative, and should help the student learn about a variety of different musical styles. If a student is interested in a particular artist or genre and wants to learn their songs, then I will incorporate that music into the lesson. Read More

As mentioned before, I learned that I have an affinity to make the music fun. It's never just work with me. I believe that a musician has done his/her job not when he/she can channel the energy of the music onto the listener. I love watching a student's face light up when they are able to play a lick or a statement that they never thought they would be able to play, or when I see the proverbial lightbulb going on atop their heads. I find a balanced approach to studying technique, sight reading, theory and the students favorite songs to be the best recipe for keeping motivated and engaged. Beginning students will use Mel Bay's Modern Guitar Method (Book 1) to get into the basics of these elements down, while learning basic voicings of the most common chords that will allow them to dive into playing some of their favorite songs almost immediately. Lessons for more advanced students will be tailored to their individual needs, and can cover anything from improvising, to songwriting to learning complicated solos and advanced guitar techniques. My teaching experience goes back to middle school. I didn't get paid for it but I would teach the drummers their part the ensembles and performances in the orchestra and jazz band. That way the teacher could focus on instructing the other students the different instruments. I started booking regular paid gigs after college. I would perform shows and people would ask for lessons after the gig, networking is a big part of the professional side of playing music I encourage listening to all styles of music. Read More
