Upon this time I studied a full year with James Lee Thorpe whom eventually played, toured recorded with Sweet F.A. They released albums with MCA Chrysalis Records. Because most of my students are beginners, I typically start with very simple tunes intended to get their hands comfortable with the instrument, and to help them start reading music. After those are mastered, we move on to more complex pieces with greater technical demands. I am always willing to help students learn songs that they are interested in playing. I started teaching lessons when I was 18 at a music business and taught there between 3 to 5 hours a week for about 5 years. For the past 5 years I have been teaching at IU. I have taught many different styles from classical to jazz to rock, etc. and have also watched many great teachers and tried to learn from their methods.
