I'm a well-rounded and extremely passionate musician who loves sharing the ability to make music with as many people as I can. In 2017, I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a focus on Guitar Performance. Perhaps my favorite part of being a musician through most of the past decade has been having the opportunity to play with other musicians of all different backgrounds and experience levels, from fresh-faced rappers to regionally established folk acts to spectacular guitarists with decades of experience and international master classes under their belts. Teaching is a very fulfilling experience as it constantly requires you to examine your own playing and methods so that you can share your knowledge with people. I first discovered how rewarding it was when I started giving lessons after about 5 years of playing guitar. It made me a better guitar player and musician, and also helped me connect with people I never would have in a unique and exciting way. Read More

My methods vary student to student- we all learn differently and my objective is to find what works, wether it be a quick demonstration, or a complete breakdown right to the fundamentals. No student is too slow nor incapable. One of the things I really keep my eye on is technique- nothing is more detrimental to a student's progress than poor technique and adaptation! I can quickly spot these future difficulties, and help the student develop the proper means and WHY -with encouragement and positive reinforcement! Read More

Music has been an integral part of my life, playing a major role in both my personal and professional life. I embrace the chance to be immersed in it, to share my enthusiasm for and expertise in the area of music education, promoting creative development and student performance skills. Read More

There is nothing more rewarding than seeing your student progress and diacover a love for music. I am unconventional in my teaching methods as that I don't follow a certain teaching outline. Every student has their own pace, and its important for me to let a student take as long as they need to learn without being rushed. And by acknowledging their accomplishments, they become eager to learn more, and have more fun playing music, as that is the whole point of music right? Read More

When I was 8-years-old my father gave me his old guitar. From then on I spent most of my free time playing and learning music. I enrolled in structured lessons when I was 12 until I went to Berklee College of Music for a year's time. Afterwards I decided that I wanted to dedicate my spare time to music and not make a professional career out of it. I have taught lessons since I was 15 and enjoy sharing what I know and watching the joy that music brings to its students. Read More
